ALMA - The International School of Italian Cuisine is recognized as the World’s leading Educational and Training Centre for the Italian Food, Beverage and Hospitality Sectors at an International level, Training Chefs, Pastry Chefs, Bakery Chefs, Sommeliers, Professional Waiting Staff and Restaurant Managers.
ALMA is conveniently located in the heart of the Food Valley, in the beautiful Ducal Palace of Colorno, a few kilometres from Parma, proclaimed by UNESCO as the “Creative City of Gastronomy in 2015” in recognition of its heritage of PDO and PGI delicacies and culinary specialities, as well as Capital of Culture 2020 & 2021. Parma is also the seat of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
The School has a team of over 30 teachers, both academics and chef instructors and collaborates also with over 120 chefs and academics in a 5000 square meters campus devoted to education, including seven training rooms, two pastry laboratories, one training restaurant, seven demo rooms, all classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and a library providing students with access to 12,000 books.
With all the necessary equipment and technology, it is the ideal setting for training students. ALMA is a school that prepares its students for the world of work, welcoming young people from all over the world with different educational backgrounds and guiding them on the path to becoming professional chefs of Italian Cuisine and Pastry.
